May 2nd, 1932– April 6th, 2012

Will the urn fit a full size person?

The amount of ashes that each urn holds is measured in cubic inches. The industry standard used to figure approximate size is 1 pound of healthy weight to 1 cubic inch of cremains.  Our urns are made to hold 200-220 cubic inches which is standard for an adult urn.

Do I need to buy an urn from the funeral home?

No. You can purchase an urn from anywhere and bring it to the funeral home.

How do I put the remains into the urn?

Many funeral homes will transfer the remains into the cremation urn you provide. If the funeral home does not transfer the remains for you the remains will be placed in a sealed plastic bag and returned to you in a temporary cardboard or plastic urn.  Remove the sealed plastic bag and place it into the permanent urn.

How do I open the urn?

Our urns are designed so the entire bottom panel is removable. Remove the screws securing the bottom panel. Leave the cremains in the sealed plastic bag and place the bag into the urn. Re-attach the bottom panel with the screws.

What Can I do with the cremains?

Popular options include burying in a cemetery plot, scattering on family land and scattering in the ocean. Read more about your options in our blog.
